“I needed to investigate the nature of the relationship with oneself and the perception of the world marked by the sense of time. Time that flows and slips from our hands, time that is imagined and time that is lost”. There is a part of our soul, perhaps with our own eyes and arms, capable of making decisions, of taking risks, but also of giving up or forgetting, leaving any choice in the hands of Time. From the homonymous composition by the Italian master Ezio Bosso, Emily's Room can be seen as a sensitive dialogue between heart and mind, well represented by the two soloists Debora di Biagi and Blai Lopez Sanchez, dancing for the birth and the end of something, where an open portal marks the border between the conscious and the unconscious. “This is one of the rooms of your mind. A landscape where a distant light of the darkest night becomes flesh and ashes. A place where memory and possible future are one.”
